If you’re craving a savory snack but would like to avoid store-bought chips, which are usually high in fat and calories, we have a homemade and delicious substitute for you to try. These parmesan thyme crisps can be spiced up with cayenne or any other spices that you like. Remember to store them in an airtight container, layered between waxed paper.

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 teaspoons fresh thyme leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Parmesan cheese and thyme leaves in a bowl. Take two spoonfuls of the mixture and place it onto the lined baking sheet, spazing them two inches apart. Lightly press with your fingers to flatten them into circles 2 inches in diameter.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned and crisp, 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly on the baking sheets, about 2 minutes.
  4. Loosen the edges with a spatula and lift the chips off the parchment paper. Transfer to wire racks and let cool completely until firm, about 10 minutes.
