If you have great baking skills, you would know that the smallest subtraction or addition of ingredients can make a huge difference. Still, so many other factors contribute to the result of your baking. Read on below for a few tweaks to make the process easier and the product even more delicious!

  1. Make sure your ingredients are kept at room temperature before starting.
  2. Use a cookie scoop for the cookies to make them evenly shaped and of similar size for the browning as well as baking.
  3. Make use of rimless baking sheets that have slightly slanted lips.
  4. Line the baking sheets using parchment paper, non-stick foil, or silicone baking liners.
  5. Bake one sheet on the rack at a time positioned in the center of the oven. To bake a higher number of cookies at a go, position the racks in the oven at the top and bottom thirds. Rotate the sheets from the front to back and bottom to top so they bake evenly.
  6. If only two baking sheets are available, let the sheet cool between baking the batches. Hot baking sheets will melt your cookie dough and cause a change in the shape and texture of the cookie.
  7. Let your cookies cool completely to prevent soggy bottoms.
  8. Store soft and crisp cookies separately. Using airtight containers is ideal.

Enjoy!
