Cheetos’ New Flavor Has a Lot of Depth

Some things you just know as fact. Water, when frozen, becomes ice, peanut butter and jelly go excellent together, and Cheetos are cheese flavored. Well, one of those is no longer entirely accurate. Although most Cheetos taste like cheese, a new flavor has been added to the Cheetoverse.

When it comes to the Cheetos Flamin’ Hot range, the predominant taste is chili, but the latest incarnation of the chip has gone for something a little complex.

Labeled Cheetos Crunchy Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion, “tangy” is the word to focus on. That flavor profile comes through in the form of chili peppers, garlic, ginger, and citrus. Yes, it’s spicy, but now it has nuance.

“Cheetos is constantly keeping a pulse on the latest trends so that we can bring our fans the bold flavors they are searching for,” stated Stacy Taffet who serves as the senior vice president of marketing at Frito-Lay. “We know Cheetos and Flamin’ Hot lovers are eager to try unique flavor combinations, which is why we’re so excited to bring Cheetos Crunchy Flamin’ Hot Tangy Chili Fusion to the snack aisle.”

The chip is already in stores, so you don’t have to wait to get your fingers covered in cheetle from the new addition.
