Having meatloaf for lunch or dinner is a common theme in many households around the world. Not Using Fatty Meat

Using lean meat might seem tempting, but it will also result in a dry meatloaf that will fall apart before even reaching your plate. If you want a juicy meatloaf, fatty meat is the way to go.

Adding Raw Veggies

Most people just toss raw vegetables into their meatloaf, thinking it will cook while the meatloaf is baking. However, this is often not the case. The raw veggies in meatloaf often fail to cook properly and spoil the taste of the dish. To avoid this, pan-fry the veggies before mixing them with the rest of the ingredients.

Skipping the Seasoning

No one wants to eat a bland meatloaf, but that will be your reality if you skip the seasoning. Adding salt and pepper will bring out the taste of the meat, while you can always add some additional spices or dried herbs.

Slicing it Straight out of the Oven

Once you have a mouthwatering meatloaf in front of you, it is hard to resist not slicing it right away. But you should. Let it rest for around 10 minutes so all those nice juices can settle properly.
