We like to promote personal growth as part of healthy living so trying out new methods to approach fruit seems like a good idea. Here are four ways to peel a banana; we recommend trying all four and deciding which is your favorite.

The Standard Way

Just to get everyone on the same page, we’ve done some research and can confirm that most people peel their bananas by holding it with the stem upwards, then grabbing hold of the stem and peeling downwards. Since banana peel is considered as the fruit “packaging” it makes sense to treat the stem as the handle to pull on.

The Monkey Way

Who’s a bigger authority when it comes to all things bananas than monkeys? Hold the banana stem down and give a little squeeze to the other end with two fingers. The top will sort of pop off and then you can simply grab it and peel downwards.

The Banana Split

Use a knife to cut or your hands to break the banana in the middle. Once you have half a banana, you can peel or even squeeze it out gently.

Be a Pro

The tidy and professional way to handle bananas is to chop off both tips and run a sharp knife tip along the length of the peel.
