Tofu is a staple of a vegan and vegetarian diet. But it’s also a known fact that tofu isn’t the most naturally appetizing food in the world. Its natural flavor and texture can even be a little off-putting. But when cooked properly, tofu is actually capable of being incredibly delicious. So here are three different ways you can cook tofu.

Frying Pan

Cooking tofu on a frying pan is a great way to do it, and there are a couple of tricks that will make it turn out great. First, don’t move the tofu too much. Leave it on the pan long enough for each side to get really brown and crispy. And second, keep cooking until you think the tofu will be too dry, and then add sauce to re-introduce moisture. The texture will be perfect.

Oven

Another option is to cook tofu in the oven. Try coating cubed tofu in sauce and nutritional yeast, then bake on a silicone baking mat at 450 (it’s gotta be hot!) with plenty of space between each cube (it needs room to breathe!) for 20 minutes on each side.

Air Fryer

If you have an air fryer, you have the perfect tool for cooking perfect tofu. Just put cubed, marinated tofu in a single layer in your air fryer for 10 to 15 minutes.
