Vegetables are quite popular in society today, but they weren’t always so appreciated. Growing up, movies and TV shows (probably influenced by sugar companies) would send the message to young kids that vegetables are gross and unappealing. Thankfully, society seems to be moving closer toward a healthier message. If you’re looking to find tasty veggie recipes to serve your children, here are three vegetables that are absolutely delicious when roasted.

Potatoes

Potatoes have the potential to be so incredibly delicious when cooked right. Although potatoes, at their core, don’t have much taste, a few sprinkles of salt make a world of difference. And if you really care about taste, sweet potatoes are just as amazing.

Broccoli

Eating one’s green vegetables is imperative for any young growing child, and broccoli is one of the best foods they can eat. Roasting them just right can truly transform the way they view this cruciferous vegetable, and possibly make them love it for the rest of their lives.

Peppers

And then we have ourselves peppers, another veggie that tastes delicious when you roast them. Yellow, green, red, orange, it really doesn’t matter which pepper color you like best. They’re all quite tasty and pair well with most dishes.
