Oftentimes the hardest thing about maintaining a steady diet is the constant hunger pangs that strike at the most inopportune moments. And when we say inopportune moments, we mean when you’re bored and within shockingly close proximity to all of your favorite junk foods. The struggle is real, and we definitely get it. However, there are ways to work around it, and one of those ways is to simply surround yourself with healthy snacks instead. Here are three that will get the job done.

Fruits

The cool thing about fruits is that they’re generally pretty healthy and incredibly delicious. When you eat fruit, you don’t feel guilty afterward. In fact, you feel pretty full, nourished, and energized to make it through to your next big meal.

Nuts

Nuts are also healthy, provided that you don’t eat too many of them. Similar to fruits, they are pretty darn filling, meaning that they’re great to have around when you’re feeling those hunger pangs.

Veggies

Probably the healthiest small snack you can eat in between meals is a vegetable. Cut up a cucumber, slice a few tomatoes, sprinkle some olive oil and salt on top of it, and you’ve got yourself a fun little snack that you can feel good about later on.
