Even if you don’t cook often, after a few years, it’s really easy to accumulate a lot of kitchen tools and gadgets that you never use. There’s no reason to have more than you need in the kitchen, because it just creates more of a mess and more stress for you, which doesn’t need to be the case!

If you’re interested in trying to keep a more minimalist kitchen, these are some easy steps to take.

Multi-Use

Look at your kitchen and try to find the things that have multi-use for you, and try to get creative when you’re stuck. If you have a steamer basket but also have a fine mesh sieve, you probably can get rid of the steamer, since the sieve will work in its place. Or if you have a kitchen scale and a bunch of measuring cups and tools, you can just use your kitchen scale.

Multiples

A lot of people not only have a lot of kitchen items, but multiples of things. Things that you especially don’t need more than one of include items like slotted spoons, spatulas, and things of that nature. You’re almost never going to be using more than one at a time, so get rid of your multiples.
