Tofu Tacos Are a Delicious Vegan Snack

If you’ve decided to switch to a vegan lifestyle, tofu is probably one of the staples of your diet. It’s delicious and versatile, and you can use it in all sorts of different dishes—including tacos.

Bijan and Gabriel, authors of the plant-based food blog Livin’ La Vegan Life, shared several vegan taco ideas with their followers. If you’re looking for one that’s quick and easy, but still super-tasty, their tofu tacos are a way to go.

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz of extra firm tofu ⁣
  • juice of 1 lime ⁣
  • 1/2 tbs of liquid aminos⁣
  • 1 tbs of rice vinegar ⁣
  • 1/4 tsp of liquid smoke ⁣
  • 1 1/2 tbs of chili oil ⁣
  • 1 tbs of sesame oil ⁣
  • 1/4 tsp of red pepper ⁣
  • salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. While preheating the oven at 350 degrees F, scramble your block of tofu in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients to the bowl with tofu, and mix them all together.
  3. After properly mixing the ingredients, place them on a baking sheet, and bake until golden brown, for approximately 20-30 minutes.
  4. Once you remove the baked tofu from the oven, let it cool down before filling your taco shells. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy the tacos.
