My money don’t jiggle-jiggle, but this dessert does. Translated from Italian as “cooked cream” panna cotta is what would happen if jelly and cream decided to have a delicious baby. And luckily for us, they did.

This dessert can be enjoyed as is, or topped with fresh fruit like strawberries, passion fruit pulp, or a berry coulis.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 packet / 1 tablespoon gelatine

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the gelatine into the milk, stir and set aside.
  2. Place a medium saucepan over medium heat and heat up the whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Once it’s steaming (but not boiling), add in the gelatine and milk mixture.
  3. Whisk everything together until the gelatine is dissolved and no longer grainy. Remove from heat.
  4. Evenly divide the mixture into 6 ramekin dishes. Place ramekins into the fridge for at least 5 hours, until the panna cotta is firm, and enjoy.
