My money don’t jiggle-jiggle, but this dessert does. Translated from Italian as “cooked cream” panna cotta is what would happen if jelly and cream decided to have a delicious baby. And luckily for us, they did.
This dessert can be enjoyed as is, or topped with fresh fruit like strawberries, passion fruit pulp, or a berry coulis.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups whipping cream
- ½ cup whole milk
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 packet / 1 tablespoon gelatine
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, dissolve the gelatine into the milk, stir and set aside.
- Place a medium saucepan over medium heat and heat up the whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Once it’s steaming (but not boiling), add in the gelatine and milk mixture.
- Whisk everything together until the gelatine is dissolved and no longer grainy. Remove from heat.
- Evenly divide the mixture into 6 ramekin dishes. Place ramekins into the fridge for at least 5 hours, until the panna cotta is firm, and enjoy.
