These Chocolate Crunch Bars Are Perfect Vegan Snack

If you’re in the mood to make some sweet treats that are delicious and 100% vegan at the same time, Nadia’s Healthy Kitchen is always a good source of ideas. This food blog is constantly sharing recipes for plant-based desserts, and one of them caught our eye.

Nadia won us over with her vegan chocolate crunch bars because everyone can make them with ease. They require no baking or fancy equipment, and you can make your own in a blink of an eye.

Ingredients (for 10 bars)

  • 100g cacao butter
  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 75g dried fruit
  • 35g sunflower seeds
  • 35g pumpkin seeds
  • 40g puffed rice
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions:

  1. After breaking up the chocolate, add it into a heat-proof dish with maple syrup, vanilla, cacao butter, almond butter, and a dash of salt.
  2. Place the bowl over a pan of simmering water, but make sure that its bottom is not coming in contact with water. Stir the mixture until it melts, and give it time to slightly cool afterward.
  3. Mix the dried fruit, puffed rice, sunflower, and pumpkin seeds inside a large bowl, pour the chocolate mixture over it, and mix them all together.
  4. Cover a cake tin with baking paper before transferring the mixture. Slice it after it cooled off inside a fridge for 1-2 hours.
