These Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins are Out of This World

What’s better than banana bread? Banana bread with chocolate chips. Banana bread is one of those desserts that’s really easy to make and it’s a crowd-pleaser. And for this recipe, you don’t even need a mixer! It really couldn’t get any simpler. Here’s how to make the best chocolate chip banana bread muffins.

Ingredients:

  • 2 to 3 medium very ripe bananas, peeled
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 12 ounce bag of chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and line a muffin tin with muffin cups.
  2. In a big bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until they’re smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  5. Stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Mix in the flour.
  7. Mix in the chocoalte chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the muffin cups. Bake between 20-25 minutes at 350 F, or until a toothpick comes out of the center clean. Some chocolate on the toothpick is normal.
  9. Let the muffins cool for a few minutes before serving.
