]]>One of the most common parts of our daily lives, whether we work at an office or work from home, walk over to the kitchen, and prepare ourselves a steaming cup of tea or coffee. Now, we’re not saying that everyone puts sugar in their tea or coffee. We’re merely suggesting that the grey area as far as “cheating” goes is a lot wider in this realm.
It’s easy to tell ourselves, “Don’t eat that slice of cake. You didn’t do anything to earn that.” Yep, we’re pretty cutthroat with ourselves when it comes to the “why” behind the reason we’re doing things. Which is why when it comes to tea or coffee, we’re able to justify a spoon or two or sugar because we tell ourselves, “This is necessary to keep me energized at work. It’s helping me make money, and provide for myself and my family.”
There’s nothing wrong with our justifications. But when you look back at the end of a month and wonder where all that sugar came from, you may do well to look past that occasional piece of cake and actually focus on those 10 cups of sweet coffee you drank last week.
