Should You Invest in a Special Crepe Pan?

If you’re a huge fan of crepes, you’ve probably been tempted to buy a special flat pan for this delicious pastry. Most people can’t even imagine making crepes without one, but are they truly necessary?

Just Crepes

As these pans were designed with crepes in minds, they’re obviously the best possible option to make them, but they’re not the only one. You can actually make crepes with any other skillet with a flat base.

It also comes in handy if your pan has low walls because it’s easier to flip crepes that way, but it’s not a must. Non-stick pans are usually a better option, but you can also use butter and oil to avoid sticking.

Other Dishes

If you’re not making crepes often, a special pan will just be taking up space in your already overcrowded kitchen. It’s only a good investment if you enjoy eating crepes on a regular basis, or if you came up with a way to make other dishes in this flat, low pan.
