TikTok users are pretty busy putting a twist on pizza this spring and pizza toast is no longer the only trend this social media platform put on the map. Pizza eggs are all the rage right now and they’re the latest in the series of quick and easy recipes to go viral on TikTok.
Content creator Elyse Myers, who’s followed by 4.3 million people on TikTok, was the one who put this viral trend on the map. Her original video of making pizza eggs generated around 1.3 million views and she discussed the viral recipe with Fox News Digital.
“This was an original recipe that came from me trying to eat up all the leftovers in the fridge. It kind of evolved over time and then we just ate it so much, we gave it the name pizza eggs. The taste is kind of like eating a spicy sausage, egg and cheese scramble,” explained Myers.

She used butter, pre-cooked chicken, pepperoni slices, red pepper flakes, eggs, and cheese in her original recipe. Another popular recipe for pizza eggs was shared by Shay Spence, who cut his leftover pizza into cubes, added some eggs to the skillet, and fried them together.
