We can all agree that Nutella is the king of chocolate spreads. But sometimes you run out and can’t go to the grocery store to replenish your reserves. Or you are in the mood for something different. Either way, if this happens to you sometimes, we recommend making your own chocolate spread. Following our recipe, you can have one ready in under an hour, and it will be a great substitute for Nutella or any other chocolate spread you use. And who knows, maybe you’ll end up liking it so much that you’ll never go back!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup hazelnuts
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup oat milk
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa oil

Instructions

1. Line the pan with parchment paper and place the hazelnuts on it. Pop the pan in a preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes on 320F.

2. Take the hazelnuts out of the oven and let them cool down. Clean the excess peal from hazelnuts by rubbing them between two pieces of paper towels.

3. Pop the hazelnuts into a blender and blend for 15 minutes.

4. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until you get a smooth consistency.

5. Take a piece of bread and spread some of that chocolate goodness on it. Enjoy.
