Coffee is a major cornerstone of our modern culture and for good reason. It’s delicious, robust, and provides us with a good old-fashioned kick when we need it most. But how much of this is psychological? We won’t delve too deeply into the question of how much we actually “need” coffee—but we will offer a few tips for those who are trying to cut down. It can be easy to pound up to three or four cups a day, so here’s how to stick to one only.

Have a Set Time

It’s time to get your disciplinary mindset on and set a time for your daily coffee. Stick to that time and that time only, because otherwise, things can get dicey. Whether it’s in the morning before work or the afternoon after lunch, it’s all good provided that you stay true to it.

Take Up Tea

Quite often, it’s not really the coffee that we need—it’s just a break from work. So while we’re going on our little coffee runs, how about turning them into tea runs? Tea is generally healthier than coffee, so you’ll be doing yourself a favor. Moderation is important, and it’s never good to have too much coffee in your life.
