If you’ve been spending any time on Food TikTok lately, then you’ve probably seen that charcuterie boards have been a major trend over the past year or so. But they’re inherently not vegan-friendly, as the main ingredients used for them are meat and cheese. But you can still enjoy one as a vegan or if you have vegan guests coming to your home. Here is how we recommend putting together a plant-based charcuterie board.

Use Fruits and Veggies

Plants are the basis of a vegan diet, so of course, you’ll want to include them on your charcuterie board. Great options include things like bell pepper, cucumber, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, radishes, apple slices, grapes, strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, pears, and mandarin oranges. You can also use dried fruits like figs, apricots, raisins, dried cranberries, and dried cherries. The more color on your board, the prettier it’ll be.

Add Nuts

For some protein and healthy fat, nuts are key. We recommend macadamias, almonds, walnuts, and/or pecans.

Vegan Cheese

You can find vegan cheese at almost any grocery store these days, so include whichever types are your favorite.

Dips

Vegan dips are amazing, so including a variety of things like hummus, tapenade, red pepper dip, and vegan ranch is a great idea.

Crackers and Bread

Tie it all together with your favorite crackers and bread. We recommend brown, sprouted bread, and crackers for the flavor and rustic look.
