Halloween will be here before we know it and with its arrival plenty of opportunities for Halloween parties. The options for seasonal treats and snacks are endless, and while Halloween is certainly a theme in and of itself, we love the idea of taking things a little bit further and having a Wizarding World of Harry Potter-themed party. Magic and Halloween go together like, well, Harry and Ron, and the books are filled with plenty of fun and unexpected foods that any party guests are sure to love. Here are a few muggle-versions of wizard treats we love.

Butterbeer

What sounds better than a drink made with cream soda and actual butter?! This mocktail from Alli Kelley is not for the faint of heart but is 100% as delicious as Harry and the gang makes it sound in the books. This recipe is alcohol-free but it could also be enjoyed with a splash of your favorite spirit.

Pumpkin Pasties

It’s not Halloween without pumpkin, and these pumpkin-filled pastries, or “pasties” are a great choice. They can be made savory with some cheese or sweet as Harry and Ron enjoyed them on the Hogwarts Express.

Chocolate Frogs

They may not actually jump or contain collectible cards featuring images that move, but these chocolate frogs from Felicia Vargo will definitely keep your guests entertained. They’re easy to make and ready in less than 30 minutes.
