We’d all like to think that we’re eating healthily, but sometimes the truth is less accurate. However, this isn’t always our fault. Due to a combination of marketing, culture, and a healthy dose of delusion, we may think we’re consuming healthy products on a daily basis when the reality is far from the case. Here are a few foods and drinks that are much less healthy than you think.

Peanut Butter

Peanut butter at its core is pretty healthy, but unfortunately, so much of the peanut butter that most people consume is the less healthy variety. Skippy and Jif both have added sugars in their peanut butter, so be careful not to eat too much of it.

Orange and Apple Juice

Orange juice and apple juice are common fruit juices that are drunk on a daily basis, often under the guise of drinking something “healthy”. However, most of the brands, such as Tropicana, also serve a product that has a lot more sugar than you’d think.

“In-Between” Cereals

When it comes to cereal, there are some that are healthy, and some don’t pretend to be. But then there are the “in-betweeners”. The cereals that seem healthy, but aren’t quite, such as Cinnamon Life or Honey Nut Cheerios. They’re not so bad for you, but we wouldn’t exactly load up on them either.
