Feel Good Foodie Will Make You Fall in Love with Avocado Fries

The list of French fry alternatives is getting longer by the day, and Feel Good Foodie gave us another you have to try. The popular food blogger recently shared a recipe for avocado fries, and it’s everything we hoped for and more.

Just like any other avocado-based dish, these fries should be eaten in moderation due to their high fat and calorie content. Feel Good Foodie recommends eating them with spicy mayo dipping sauce, and her recipe lists all the ingredients for this tasty dip.

Ingredients:

Avocado Fries:

  • 2 large or 4 small avocados sliced into ½ inch slices
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Spicy Mayo Dipping Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons Greek Yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons light mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons sriracha sauce

Instructions:

  1. Mix the flour with the chili powder, garlic powder, and salt in a small bowl. Put the beaten eggs in a second bowl, and fill the third bowl with the panko breadcrumbs.
  2. After cutting the avocados into thin slices, dredge them in the flour mixture, followed by a dip into a bowl with eggs. Cover each slice with breadcrumbs, press down lightly until they stick.
  3. Spray the sides of the avocado slices with oil and air fry them at 400°F until they turn golden brown, for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side. If you’re using the oven, bake them for about 12-15 minutes at 425 F, and remember to turn them halfway through.
  4. Mix Greek Yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and sriracha sauce while the fries are baking to make the spicy mayo dipping sauce and serve it with fries.
