What do you get when you combine a little yellow box of waffles and rum flavored with cinnamon and nutmeg? Eggo Nog! That’s right, the iconic frozen waffle maker we all grew up with has partnered with the Tennessee-based Sugarlands Distilling Co. to create a delicious holiday-themed cocktail that’s sure to be a hit at any seasonal party.
The product is the newest addition to Sugarlands’ line of Appalachian Sippin’ Creams, named for their cream base, and features all of the toasty spiced-eggnog flavors we know and love. Distillers at Sugarlands worked hard to create a beverage that pairs perfectly with Eggo’s classic Thick & Fluffy waffles so grownups could have a little extra something to enjoy throughout the holiday season.
You can certainly enjoy Eggo Nog on its own (and believe us, we will be!) but if you prefer to mix up something with a little more pizazz, there are 10 recipes for drinks that incorporate the liquor on the Sugarlands’ website (21+). Think Peppermint White Russian, Eggo Nog Martini, and an original creation called “Christmas Breakfast,” which also includes a shot of the brand’s Maple Bacon Moonshine.
