Fish is one of the tastiest and most versatile foods if you can get to grips with it. With so many different combinations to choose from, you can wow your guests every time. Here are four different methods for cooking fish. Each has its own unique benefits.

Grilled

This method is best with meaty fishes like salmon, bass, and monkfish. Simply lay your fish onto a grill rack, brush with olive oil, and grill until the flesh flakes off easily.

Pan-Fried

Pan-fried fish is quick, easy, and tastes great. Just season the fish and place it skin-side down in olive oil and butter on medium heat. Keep turning the fish and cook until golden brown and the flesh flakes off easily.

Bake in Foil

You can use this technique to prepare a fish whole. Wrap the fish in greased tin foil. Try to make it like a little parcel. Preheat the oven to 375F and bake for about 30 minutes. You can tell when the fish is cooked as the flesh should be opaque.

Steamed

Simmer water in a large wok. Add any flavorings to the water. When the water is boiling, place it on the steamer with the fish in it. Cover and cook for three to four minutes.
