There’s nothing quite like a glass of lemonade on a hot summer day. This drink is pretty much synonymous with summertime, and a lot of people use ice to make it even more refreshing. If you have a habit of doing the same, here are a few things you should keep in mind.

Watering Down

Ice cubes can make your lemonade instantly cold, but they can also alter its taste. They’ll melt pretty quickly on a hot summer day, and they’ll water down your lemonade if you don’t drink it fast enough, making it bland and flavorless.

Ice Blocks

If you don’t want ice cubes to dilute your lemonade, you should consider going for ice blocks instead. They are a great alternative because they’re larger than ice cubes and have less of their surface area exposed to warm outside air, which means they’ll melt at a slower rate.

Lemonade Ice Cubes

If you don’t want to worry about the ice watering down your lemonade, freezing this drink itself is your best bet. Make some lemonade, pour it inside an ice cube tray, and use these ice cubes to chill down your lemonade without changing its taste.
